Spring has a Fever

That's right... It got to over 101° F here today and only 10% humidity... in APRIL no less!!! The grasses are already starting to dry out...and even though I know it will cool down to the mid 60°'s F in a few days... today I am just irked, because I know it means the long months of Summer heat are on their way already. For those of you in colder climates who are just starting to see Spring... enjoy it while it lasts... it may be almost over out here in Southern California. Curse you, global warming! (And yeah...I know it isn't just warming... but it sure seems like the climate is out of balance) Have any of you looked at this program for tracking change? [link] I've been thinking about it, but haven't decided whether to join or not.

I know... and I feel guilty about even complaining when you guys just barely left winter... but I hate Summer heat here... All the rest of the seasons here are mild and I feel lucky to be here... but the Summers here are just getting longer and more unbearable. (And probably the migraine headache that the pollen in the winds gave me is adding to the grumpiness.) I don't blow off steam too often, but this is tooooo early for this kind of heat. :sun: :sunnysideup:

Yea...that happened to us last year.. almost right out of winter into summer.. this year winter wont let go.. it was beautiful for a day and a half..now back to gray cold rainy and blustery..

Exactly! And when Summer really hits here, we are lucky if the nights drop below 80°F. Grrrrr. Oh well, we usually get a little fog in June at least, and after Wednesday there will be a drop in temps for a short while, but...

It was really hot here today, too, 95? maybe? It's 85 now at almost 6pm...I don't know HOW unusual it is as we were getting our furniture a year ago today and it was HOT then too...but you are right - grasses are browning and summer heat will be here too soon...

Well there were record highs all over So Cal yesterday, so, it is certainly hotter than the average. I sure hope it is somehow a fluke and calms down for a bit before real Summer, but I doubt it...
